Legal Experts (Specialists) for Kazakhstani Courts
With the development of legislation, specialization of lawyers is increasingly deepening. Testimonies of legal experts are a legitimate and acceptable way of assisting the courts as they are provided by recognized and highly specialized experts (specialists).
Such testimonies can significantly facilitate judicial decision-making since they afford a careful and comprehensive legal analysis from experts (specialists) who not only adhere to high ethical standards and value their own reputation, but also, unlike representatives of parties to a dispute, are duty bound to remain objective and impartial.
To qualify as an Expert (specialist) of the Institute, a lawyer must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, possess a deep knowledge in certain areas of law, and sign the Ethical Obligations of an Expert form.
The Institute recommends Experts of the Institute at the request of courts, arbitrations, as well as parties to a dispute.
Legal Experts for Foreign Courts and Arbitrations
Quite often, the issues of Kazakhstani law are raised before foreign courts, international arbitrations, and the AIFC Court. In such cases, it becomes necessary to call upon experts in Kazakhstani law, who, by providing their opinions on the content of Kazakhstani law, influence Kazakhstani law itself.
The Institute recommends Experts of the Institute at the request of courts, arbitrations, as well as parties to a dispute.
Arbitrators and Mediators

When Kazakhstani courts and local arbitrations have to resolve a dispute under foreign law, the Institute, at the request of courts, arbitrations, as well as parties to a dispute, calls upon experts in foreign law to aid in such disputes.

The Institute rigorously selects and trains specialists in various fields of science, technology, and production so that they can assist courts and arbitrations with the collection, research, and evaluation of evidence along with application of scientific and technical knowledge by providing their professional advice (clarification).
