Our Mission
To coordinate work and effort of preeminent scholars and experts in jurisprudence as well as in the other related fields of study to establish the Republic of Kazakhstan as a jurisdiction with firm rule of law and predictable outcomes of legal and business processes.
Goals and Objectives
1) Promote the development of legal doctrine and alternative dispute resolution methods; further the formation of a uniform judicial, arbitration, and mediation practice; contribute to the improvement in the quality of legislation;
2) Render assistance to courts and arbitrations with maintaning the rule of law in consideration and resolution of cases;
3) Provide the opportunity for subjects of international and private law and for Kazakhstani, foreign and international courts and arbitrations to engage top Kazakhstani and foreign experts and specialists in order to employ their professional opinions in various areas of Kazakhstani (including conflict rules), international, and foreign law;
4) Contribute to the development of academic and practical knowledge in the field of law (publications, roundtable discussions, conferences, practical training for professional development, counsel on selection of academic papers, etc.);
5) Form ad hoc commissions, committees, and project working groups;
6) Analyze regulatory resolutions of the Constitutional Court and the Supreme Court and provide opinions and advice.
Organs of the Institute
Nominating Commission
The Nominating Commission makes accreditation decisions, i.e. accreditation of Experts, Researchers and Expert organizations. When services of the Institute are requested, the Nominating Commision makes recommendations on nomination of Experts, Researchers and Expert organizations for participation in the judicial process. The Commission consists of representatives of the legal community and representatives of other parts of society.
Academic Council
Academic councils oversee projects of the Institute and approve opinions of the Institute issued on its behalf. There is an academic council for each individual project of the Institute as well as for each opinion of the Institute. Each academic council consists of three Experts.
Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics form is signed by all of the Experts, Researchers and Expert Organizations of the Institute as a condition of accreditation.
